Review

I’d like to recommend The Sun Behind the Clouds. In 1959, China invaded Lhasa and killed 1.2 million of Tibet’s 6 million people. The film addresses this issue. At the same time, it is a record of the religious fetters and contradictions of Tibetan Buddhism hidden underneath the exaggerated icon, Dalai Lama. I hope you acquire a balanced view of the difficult and complex reality facing Tibet today through this film.
