Synopsis

In February 1991, the workers of Daewoo Ship Building go on a strike over a collective bargaining stand off with the management. The workers occupy the top of a 120 meter high giant crane aptly named "Goliath". This film captures the solidarity and the pride that unite the workers on top of "Goliath" with those on the ground.

  1990년 말, 장산곶매, 서울영상집단, 노동자 뉴스 제작단, 여성영화집단, 바리터 노동자문화예술운동연합 영화분과, ‘11월13일’ 등 5개 단체가 ‘노동자영화대표자회의’라는 연대 기구를 결성했다. 다큐멘터리 작가회의는 이 기구에서 만난 다큐멘터리 제작자들이 결성한 집단이다. 1991년 현대중공업의 노동조합 운동을 다룬 <전열>과 대우조선의 노동조합 <옥포만에 메아리칠 우리들의 노래를 위하여>등 두 편의 다큐멘터리를 제작했다.
