Synopsis

The Gaza Strip. An inexplicable event has occurred during the night: dozens of manta rays stranded on the beach in Gaza City. Fishermen hasten from the whole Strip to grab some fresh meat. Antar spurs his brother to get up, in the afternoon he will record his first disk. Noor must appear in front of the television cameras. The shots of the rifles remind him that Jabber lives in the buffer zone that separates Gaza from Israel. As in a dream, the boys of the Parkour Team pirouette in a cemetery. Life in the strip winds up until night.

Director

  • Nicola GRIGNANI
    He graduated from the University of Bologna with a thesis on the history of Cuban cinema. In 2002 he founded with Alberto MUSSOLINI and Luca SCAFFIDI the collective Teleimmagini, to make reportages and documentaries on the subject of emigration to Italy and takes part in projects of communication and international solidarity in Colombia.
  • Alberto MUSSOLITI
    He works at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, the Transmedia Festival in Berlin and the DEAF in Rotterdam. He is one of the founders of the collective Teleimmagini. He is currently working as a technician to cover events with Kreative lab of Milan and the creation of multimedia webdocs and training courses.
  • Luca Scaffidi
    He is a videomaker, director of photography, expert in social communication and webcommunication . He is one of the founders of the collective of filmmakers, Teleimmagini, making short films, reportages, investigations and holding workshops of communication. On the production of web-docs to be made in Nablus, in Palestine. In 2013 he made short films for the Istituto Europeo di Design.
  • Valeria Testagrossa
    Studied journalism at the Westminster University in London with specialization in the production of documentaries. She is a videomaker, photographer and journalist. In 2011 her team win the One World Media Award as the best international news article, for an investigation on the subject of immigration.
  • Andrea Zambelli
    Andrea Zambelli worked on documentaries of creation since 2000, and as a filmmaker and director of photography. In 2008, Mother to Daughter (2008) was selected for the Toronto Film Festival.
