Synopsis
Director Hayashi is Japan born 4th generation of Chinese, who is not able to handle Chinese language. He knows the past conflict and movement in Yokohama China Town by meeting Fei Long-lu, a ex-teacher at the Chinese School standing for the Mainland. Director films Long-lu, who has experienced (※)the Incident of Yokohama Overseas Chinese School intervened by the Taiwan government causing the dividing Yokohama Chinese and his separation from classmates as a child, led the political movement for China-Japan friendship against Taiwanese Power, and other concerned Chinese resident to the time and other generations, while Yokohama Taiwanese says “they just LEFT”, The film reveals the hidden history of Yokohama China Town and how they look back and face the past.

Hayashi RyutaBorn in Yokohama, Japan. A graduate of Japan Academy of Moving Images. His graduation film was about his Chinese relative from China and his uncle who called her up to Japan. He started his career as an assistant director at a TV production. Now he works on making a documentary film <LEFT>, which focuses on Chinese residents in Yokohama and the long lasting conflict occurred in Yokohama China Town. -
Yuki Naoi (PD)Born on 1983 in Chiba, Japan. Educated at JIMI and majoring in documentary. In 2010, He made <Red flower> as a producer for graduation film. After graduated from Japan Academy of Moving Images, He joined some independent film. <FUKUSHIMA: Memories of the Lost Landscape>, <The Constitution>.
