Synopsis

is an experimental ‘silent’ documentary that explores the life and work of British filmmaker Geoffrey H. Malins. The film juxtaposes Malins’ autobiography with a film he shot as an official British cameraman in 1916 depicting one of the bloodiest battles of the First World War. The film, , became an immediate box-office success, and deconstructs it and explores the many facets of its complex history.

A graduate of Toronto’s York University's Graduate Program in Film and TelAviv University's History Department, Yuval's current project examines the 1967 Six-Day War and its impact on the Israeli society. is Yuval Sagiv’s first feature documentary.
