Synopsis
After Kazakhstan moved its capital to Astana, aprovincial town in the steppe was turned in to a futuristic metropolis. But as the young capital prepares to celebrate its tenth anniversary, fear over the financial crisisspreads, leaving construction sites empty and the future uncertain. In this city of endless cranes, Astana's first generation finds itself caught between the official vision and life’s realities on the outskirts of utopia.
