Synopsis

takes a penetrating look at Korean independent filmmaking today. We see the beliefs and self-reflections of the filmmakers， as well as an account of dilemmas that independent filmmakers face，such as filmmaking already compromised by conventions. On-Line is a critical look at a proud film community looking to build solidarity and to find new direction.

  HONG Hyung-sook
  

  Born in 1962. Graduated from audio visual education department at Ewha Womans University. She is one of the representative Korean independent documentary filmmakers. She has been a member of Seoul Visual Collective since 1987, and directed , was invited to numerous film festivals and was awarded the Audience Award at DMZ Docs – 2009 and the Independent Film of the Year’ Award by the Association of Korean Independent Film and Video.
