Synopsis
Autumn, a leopard cats artificial insemination procedure is being done, the veterinarian who endured 2years of experiments and research without any outcome seems fatigued. Winter, the zoo is temporarily closed due to a widespread of avian flue. The veterinarian collects bird feces to examine avian flu infection. Because It’s a remote place, there aren’t many people or migratory birds visiting, therefore chances of infection are low, however, that doesn’t relieve worries. A true seal couple conceives a baby. The zookeeper is feeling tense reminding an incident that a just born baby seal died 2 years ago. The baby seal couldn’t come out of the water and drowned due to the water tanks structural problem. Late winter, the baby seal is born healthy. Zoo staffs take turn siting beside the water tank and look after the baby seal. Spring, the zoo reopens. Visitors revisit and the animals become spectacles once again.

Wang Min-cheolWang Min-cheol worked in the field of visual design after graduating college of engineering. He studied musicology in Berlin but soon quit and went to Cologne to major in film studies. He filmed a movie and directed a documentary film for his graduation work. Film making is what he does for living along with many other things that are not quite helpful in making money. <Garden, Zoological> is his first full-length film.
